I have been accepted by pitt and lehigh. Major is EE.
I want to go to the college which would make me feel comfortable, However, I am a international student. Visiting the campus is impossible for me now. I just got two days left to decide which college.
And I don't want to go to grad school, instead, getting a job in US after finishing my undergraduate study, so in this way I wonder which one can be the best choice for me.

Lehigh is good at engineering. And employer would like to employ the grads from lehigh of cause. But for international student, the result can be the same?

One of my friend is in pitt. She said it is a wonderful school, and people there is very friendly. I love that. But I don't know how its engineering school is? Would it be helpful for my job?

Thanks for the responses.

I think one of the main factors you need to look at is cost. Pitt OOS cost is ~35k, Lehigh is 55k, however, I have seen Lehigh offer generous financial aid packages to international students, so have you been offered any financial aid? If not, Pitt is the cheaper option, and is located in the city which would be a hub for possible internships and future employment options. I think the main factor in your decision should be money. Both schools have respectful engineering programs, but not where one is clearly guaranteed success.

There is a big difference in the campus feel at the 2 schools. We visited both but our trip to Pitt was quick because my D did not like how Pitt seems to be integrated into the city. She much preferred Lehigh’s campus because it is enclosed. I’ve always thought that Lehigh has a much stronger engineering reputation.

You should read through the “ask a Lehigh student” thread. There’s a wealth of information.
