I know that Purdue has an amazing engineering and pharmacy program, and a growing business department. But, if I go there, I would want to pursue a Liberal Arts path, such as a double major in History and Political Science, with a minor in management. This is not Purdue's reputated strength, but I have heard that the program is good (although not famous), and people have been successful, and have moved on to top graduate schools, such as Harvard Law School.

I also got accepted into Pitt, for the humanities/social sciences as well. I don't know much about Pitt's humanities department, yet honestly I like the setting of Pittsburgh better than the barren town of West Lafayette where Purdue is located. (im a student from california, so i'll have to adjust to the cold anyways).

I know Pitt is generally a good school, and it's ranked 58th I think in the usnews where Purdue is 61. Still, could someone tell me about the quality of the liberal arts and pre-law programs at Pitt? I'm having a hard time deciding between the two, since I would be happy to go to both. I'm leaning a bit towards Purdue, since the people are generally studious and it overall has a repuation of a good school in all subjects.

Though I am a fan of marching band, and sorry Pitt, but I like Purdue's band better :p.
