Hey all! I just took my placement tests and now I'm kinda freaking out because I didnt answer many of the questions that I didnt know im hopes of just getting through the test. I was wondering if not answering/omitting these questions was a bad decision, i remember reading something in the directions about not making random answers and whatnot so I'm just curious is this will hinder my score greatly! All answers welcomed, thanks:)

I am no expert here but you should have guessed it since this is not like SAT where you get negative points. How hard was the test ? pretty basic stuff ?

The math was fairly easy from adding fractions all the way up to some basic trig stuff so it covered everything. As for Chemistry wish I could tell you but I had no idea since i haven’t had chem since my sophomore year.

Wait. Do we have to take a placement test for Penn State Uni Park? I’m in AP classes and everything, do I need to take them? I also live in California so I’m not sure how I would even take the tests!

Yes, you still need to take the placement tests even if you have AP credit canceling out math/chemistry requirements. For instance, I had community college credit for math and science classes so I don’t need to take them at PSU, but still had to take the placement test for UP. Some majors only require the math placement test (like business), but others require both math and chemistry.
The tests are online. You can find more info and take the tests at [Welcome To Penn State! | PSU Orientation & Transition](http://orientation.psu.edu/)
When you take the Education Survey and the placement tests you will need your Penn State ID number found on your acceptance letter and/or MyPennState on the admissions website.

Oh! Thank you so much for all that info! For some reason I was contacted about it or even seen anything regarding these placement tests from Penn State. I guess a student gets missed out of all the students they have to take care of in the first place!
