Placement tests

Hello I have been recently admitted and plan to enroll in UCI as a comp sci and engineering student and I am wondering about all the placement tests I have to take so far UCI told me I need to take the AWPE Physics 7c Placement test and the Chemistry placement test

So where can I get info to study up and research for these tests and how do I go about registering and scheduling these tests and when are they usually administered and can I reschedule them if they are on any of my AP test dates

You don’t have to take all the placement tests right away, it’s mostly depending on when you’re planning to take those classes. If you want to take them fall quarter, then should get them done right away.

Oh ok but because I want to place in physics 7c asap but physics II is okay as well, just wondering do I have to take the chemistry placement if i just want to place in chem 1A

I’d just get them done right away, I think it was here:
[UCI Academic Testing Center](http://www.testingcenter.uci.edu/)
But yeah, the Physics placement test is pretty easy, just calculus, not even much physics at all on it. I really don’t know any physics at all, never taken it, never studied it, but still managed to pass, but yeah. Not sure about Chemistry as much about 1A and such since I got into 1B, but yeah, that site should help you.

take chem 1P…dont take chem 1A…and there is no placement test for chemistry you can just choose if you want chem 1P or chem1A…there is no option for taking chem 1B fall quarter…its just not even a possibility when u register for classes…its not offered…but do urself a favor, take it for someone who has experience…chem1A if f**king hard in the fall quarter…take chem1P (really esay) and save ur GPA…JUST DO IT…LISTEN TO ME…

Well as a junnior i took regular physics and got an A both semesters and took AP Calc BC and got As both semesters and a 5 on the AP tests as well I have some stuff to study from do you think I have a good shot on passing or should I take other gen eds freshman year and take the test later. Also does and engineering and comp sci really need a lot of chemistry. No right just math programming Java and physics right?? Because if that is so I might just take CHem 1P? Why and what makes it so hard??

Haha, I heard Chem 1P was a ***** of a class. It’s just useless, even if you don’t have much knowledge of chemistry, but yeah, you should start at 1A in my opinion. Most who took 1P regretted it, so yeah, that’s my personal experience.

Well ok then I guess Ill be up for the challenge I guess also I know this is bad but can I get rescinded for this?? On my junior year it says I took four classes but in reality I took five classes. On 8th grade it says I took Art but I didnt. The class that was missing was from junior year was Physics CP… I got As both semesters and my UC GPA with this included is around a 4.22 I messaged them about this and Im praying it is nothing. Am I completely screwed?? Should I call and be prepared to send my transcripts early just in case?? Since my correct transcipts still has the same amount of A-G semesters from 7th to 12th grade on the application and all the requirements are completed or in progress. Should I be prepared to go to my backup school Cal Poly Pomona as well?? UCI is my dream school and I hope can stay in

I also did more calculations and my UC GPA without the physics class is 4.25 but with it is 4.22 is this slight difference in my transcript compared to my application going to get me rescinded even though the A-G semesters are calculated as the same no matter what and everything is fulfilled

Are you required to take a placement test at University of Houston majoring in Petro Engineering if you are transferring from a community college and have taken physics, chemistry, calculus, etc?
