Placement Test Dates

Hey. I was looking at the dates the placement tests are given and I noticed that most of the placement test dates are a day before the Summer Orientation. How do we take the test? Do we have to find some place to stay and take it and then go to the summer orientation?

Here are the dates:

sorry to ask a different question but how will i know which tests to take

What if I don't live in California do I have to come before the summer orientation to take the placement tests?

bump bump...

Depending on your major, most tests will be given during Welcome Week

wait i took the ap test for chemistry test and got a 3 and they still want me to take the placement test. do they think that 3 is not good enough?

is welcome week that SPOP orientation thing that you have to resister for?

@ kevinf You're probably a bio major. In that case yes :P

@vin12345
is it better to take it during welcome week
or sometime during the summer before i go to the
orientation? cuz there are placement tests b4 the orientation days. OR does the school decide when u take it?

@tiffy:
If your placement test is scheduled before welcome week, I highly recommend you take it then. If you wait until welcome week, your desired class may have already been filled.

According to this calendar...
UC Irvine - Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools
...Welcome Week is NOT the same as the SPOP (Student-Parent Orientation Program).
