Placing into Molecular and Cell Biology as a freshman

Besides getting a 4/5 on AP Bio is there anything else necessary to move on to cell biology? Any biology placement tests?

Those of you who have or are taking it, is it doable with a decent ap bio background? How are the class averages?

I’m fairly certain that NYU does not allow students to skip Principles of Bio 1 and 2 even if they score well on the AP test. Even if they did, I would strongly recommend against it. Molec Cell is a massive weed out class and is very challenging, even for those who have taken Principles of Bio at NYU
