Ahhh I just got my acceptance letter today so happy, I did not expect to get accepted. I’m still awaiting in my reach (Stanford SCEA), but in case I don’t get into Stanford, helllloooo fellow Plan II cohort :D

Yaaaay! Congratulations!

My D2 received her Plan II acceptance today. Already has a deposit at SRD and ready to register for orientation.

Got plan II letter in mail today. Applied October 15.

Congrats! (Assuming said letter was good news. )

To all the Plan IIers…Congratulations! You are about to embark on a wonderful journey. My daughter has grown so much as a person, a student, a peer, a leader, a writer and the list goes on…within the Plan II program. Your class is also in store for a wonderful treat that is the new a Liberal Arts Building that the Plan II office will move into over the holiday break. An amazing piece of art this building is and the new Plan II common room is spectacular. Again, congratulations to all of you and everyone waiting…keep those fingers crossed.

Thank you so much! I didn’t think it was possible to be any more excited. A new LA building AND a new Computer Science building. I’m going to be a freshman at the perfect time.

@Collegeshopping, thanks so much for your private message. I attempted to send a response, but it didn’t go through (since I had less than 15 posts–ugh!). If you wouldn’t mind private messaging your email address, I will respond that way. Thanks.

Are people still waiting that applied by the 15th?

My daughter was accepted to Plan II in mid-January of 2011. She had applied in November of 2010, around Thanksgiving. She was a top 8% in-state Texas resident from a small high school, with decent scores and excellent extracurriculars.

She is currently enrolled in UT Plan II class of 2015. Some strengths of the program: small class sizes, intensive writing, built-in social network, good professors, personalized attention from the Plan II staff, and scholarships. As a parent, I feel we got the quality and personalized attention of a small liberal arts school for the cost of a public institution. Jennifer Scalora who heads up Plan II admissions, is really hands-on, extremely supportive, enthusiastic, and always seems to be working behind the scenes to generate opportunities for students in the program.

@Soxnation, yes, I applied on the 14th and have not heard.

Congrats! I just received my acceptance letter this week :)

Have you still not heard, goodautumn? I hope this isn’t indicative of rejection…

The Plan II staff has been really preoccupied recently with packing up their old office in the old building and moving to the new office in the new building, so that might be why you guys haven’t heard from them yet. I think today was their move-in day, so maybe you’ll hear before the holidays.

Applied to UT: Early September
Applied to BHP, Plan II: Early October
Received automatic admission and McCombs admission in early November. Received rejection to BHP and acceptance to Plan II in mid-November.

Accepted to Health Science Honors! Letter was dated Dec. 21 but just received today! :D

Has anyone who applied 10/15 or later heard from Plan II?
Soxnation? Goodautumn?

Applied Late October and no Plan II acceptance yet. Heard about other honors and auto admit fast.

@downintheweeds, I still haven’t heard. My guess is I didn’t get in, as they seem to place a lot of weight on essays and that’s always my weakness. But, they could just be preoccupied!

I applied for Plan II honors and LAH honors before Oct. 15th and have not heard from either.
