Hey guys,

On my UC application, I put my planned SPRING courses, and my planned Summer courses. I've heard many times that UC's penalize (rescind acceptances) for dropping/failing a SPRING course that you said you were going to take.

BUT, what about a summer course? I put that I was going to take a course (which is NOT a part of my GE's, IGETC, or major prerequisites) just to pass time and get (another) AA if I didn't get into the summer internships I applied to.

Well I just got accepted to a summer internship at UC Davis and I have to tell them by tomorrow if I will be accepting. My question is will I be penalized for not taking this useless summer course that I listed as "planned" on my UC application? I really wanna do this internship, but not if I'm going to get rescinded from any possible UC acceptances. (I applied to UCSD, UCD, UCLA, UCB, UCI, if that information helps). Thanks in advance!
