planning on transfer-will studying abroad hinder/effect my chances in any way?

<p>I am a freshman at not the greatest state school....id like to go to uw-madison or georgetown .....i am really miserable at the school so i was considering going abroad for fall of sophomore year or spring of soph year....</p>

<p>will going abroad make me a less competitive candidate?</p>

<p>also can i take a full normal course abroad? im majoring in econ and id love to study at LSE or something if possible haha…</p>
