Plans this summer before boarding school in the fall?

Hi Everyone - I'm new to CC. I've just been accepted to Choate and Milton, and planning to do revisit days in April. Meanwhile, I'm planning out what I want to do this summer. Is everyone taking it easy this summer or are there any good camps / programs that people would think are worthwhile to attend before high school? Thank you so much for everyone's input! :)

I applied for a scholarship from Explo, which I didn’t get last year. I doubt I’ll get it this time, and I’m not definitely going anywhere this fall (waitlisted at a gazillion schools).

I actually have no idea lol. I was thinking about reaching out to the school that I’ll go to to see what they tell students. I mean, if I’m already enrolled for the fall, why not use the knowledge of the school, you know?

Arts camp and horse showing :)

one direction concert in August plus summer program at hill school :D

I applied to EPGY at Stanford. Hopefully I’ll get in! I want to study business there  The rest of the summer I’ll be practicing my tennis and golf…worrying about boarding school.

Running and working. I have an especially long summer since I live in the south.

Hey I’m bringing this back because this thread is fun!
I’m going to Latvia and Lithuania with my choir in the middle of the summer… Plus I’ll be doing lots of conditioning for volleyball

yay @boardingjunkie‌ you play volleyball? :3 So do I! And we’re both gonna go to Exeter! :3 Did you get the email that the coach sent with a gazillion of workout plans? I’ll really be working this summer xp Let’s hope we will both be part of the team

This summer I’ll do lots and lots of summer reading, hang out with my friends massively as the last summer here, perform well in the state exams, go on vacation and to the beach, and volley lessons every day until august :3

Going to a math camp! I’m SO excited!!
@Lilo118: Where have you decided to go?? Congrats!! :)

@RockComet‌ I do play volleyball, but I’ve never been that into it. I had no idea they’d be interested in having me On the team, honestly, even though I put it on my application (since I did okay for two years in middle school). But in between my choir commitments,

@boardingjunkie Im not sure either about whether to continue varsity at PEA but we’ll see :stuck_out_tongue: cuz honestly 2 h every day of the week but sunday certainly is a big commitment

I’m still not boarding in the fall, but I am going to Explo! :D

@stargirl3 if it doesn’t work out this go around will you reapply?

@needtoboard Probably, even though it will be my third time. The process is tiring, and I just hope that in the end it’s rewarding.

@stargirl3, so do I. I look forward to sitting next to you at the Harkness table in the 2015-16 school year

Best of luck @stargirl3 this time around. What grade will you be applying for? It would be really cool if we both got into the same school and were friends! :D

@mathman1201 I’m currently in eighth grade, so next year I’ll be applying for tenth. I hope I can meet you too! ;

@stargirl3 we will be classmates if you come to exeter
