according to <a href="http://admissions.cornell.edu/downlo..._timetable.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://admissions.cornell.edu/downlo..._timetable.pdf</a></p>

for the college of engineering, a year of calculus is required. However, I self-studied calculus and got a 5 on the AP Calc BC test without formally taking the class at school... what do i do now? and I there's no local college for me to take calculus at.

This is the sort of question that can only be answered by the admissions office. You could send them an e-mail.

You didn't say whether your high school offers calculus. If it does, is there some special reason why you didn't take it in high school like everybody else?

If your high school does not offer calculus, make sure that you mention that fact in your e-mail to the admissions office. Also mention that there is no local college where you could take the course.
