Please chance a desperate junior

<p>Since I am an immigrant and a first generation college student, this whole college admission thing is entirely new for me. I just want to get a rough picture of where I am standing so that I can be better prepared when the admission process comes around. Your inputs are deeply appreciated. :) </p>

Hook: Lower Income, First Generation College Student, immigrant ( I came to the U.S in 8th grade without knowing a single word in English)

I haven't taken the SAT but my PSAT score was 237.
Intended Majors: 1) Engineering 2) Physics 3/Math</p>

Tutoring (2hours/day)
Webmaster for a popular Vietnamese singer and got pay 5000$ (well, it was a pretty good deal since I only spent 2weeks on it)</p>

1/ Teach English in rural areas in Vietnam during the summer.
2/ Volunteer at public library and local hospital during the school year</p>

<p>Please chance me for Princeton, Stanford, MIT, Rice, UCLA, UC Berkeley, UMichigan, Georgia Tech. Stanford is my dream school. What is my chance of getting in if I apply for Stanford EA? Will graduating as valedictorian increase my chance of getting in?</p>

<p>I think that EA always helps. I don't think that it matters whether you are Valedictorian or slightly lower. You have a really good chance at all of the schools. However, since you need a lot of financial aid, you need to focus on schools that can and do give a lot of aid. That makes me question why the second half of your choices are all public universities in states that you do not live in. Top public universities do give aid to out-of-staters, but you just need to be sure that they do. I hope that you plan to apply to UT Austin, just to be safe. Caltech may be a good school for you since you seem to like California.</p>
