You’re race will slightly be a factor. If you are Asian or white, you’ll want to raise that SAT score to about a 2200 minimum. If you are an ethnic minority, 2000 should be fine.

Your extracurriculars seem very bland and cliche (since about everyone will be the president/VP of every small club on campus). Go big and do more than just clubs. Create something new that has never been done at your school and find internships/ reasearch opportunities as well.

You are heading in the right direction but from what I’ve noticed Dartmouth focuses a lot on the essay (MUST be unique!) and extracurriculars that show depth.

A long list of presidencies and officer positions is not as strong as a short list of the same activities but with more depth.

I agree with entodad. A lot of leadership positions will do nothing but help you, even in small clubs. But I would highly recommend finding what you enjoy most out of your activities, and pursue that to the fullest extent. Essentially, streamline your activities, and only list the ones which you either enjoy, make a difference in, or have a leadership position in on your application. I doubt a laundry list of every club you attend once every two months will please the admissions officer.

For example, I see that you put that you are drum major of your band. Why not join the local youth symphony, join a drum and bugle corps, participate in all-county/all-district? But of course, only do this if you will truly enjoy it and not make it become something that you are doing just to put on your application.

Also, where are you from? That can impact the URM status slightly. Ex. African Americans are typically less represented in undergrad education than Hispanics, and some Hispanics are less represented than others.

But otherwise, it looks like you are on the right track, and you could very well be a competitive applicant. Good luck!
