my dream/reach schools are basically uc berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, NYU, vanderbilt, carnegie mellon, U Chicago. are my choices too idealistic and impractical?</p>

I took Bio again, math II & ushistory in June. expecting mid to high 700s score for history.</p>
<p>AP:
5 on chinese
took ap bio, apush, ap stats & ap psychology this year. Not expecting great scores on anything except history.</p>

- band in 9th grade(traveled to australia for concert) & nonprofit band in 10th grade. Self playing in 11th grade.
- co founder & Vice president of school cooking club since 10th grade.
- volunteering at local library ~40 hrs
- volunteering at local hospital ~100 hrs
- making designs for nonprofits over the internet & at school
- 1st place school tshirt design
- vex robotics competition 2nd place, in robotics Public relations team.</p>

<p>some background info(will these affect admissions?): I am asian, my parents are divorced twice, lives w/ mother, annual income is around $50,000. I have a brother who basically gave up studying, plays games all day. extremely competitive school in the top 200s.</p>
