Nah... didn't win. But yeah, I know thats surprising. How can a national olympiad participant get a 700?

But that's what I told you... with TB I couldn't even sit for each subject test for an hour. My proctor confirmed that too.

Yeah but they won't care. Trust me, you'll be MUCH MUCH better off if you can get them to accept a January re-take.

i agree with everyone here -- if you retake this test and score 2200+, you'll be in a really great position

but honestly, i think that you can get in with your sat scores
just my imo, but your ecs are ridiculous and you have a valid reason + math olympiad to qualify your weak scores

Thanks so much slipper, I'll surely take the SAT in January!

Also, guys, I'd like to know one thing. One of my brother's friends, who made it to Princeton last year (From India) told me that an interview is offered only AFTER an inital screening of your application.

Is it true? Or is an interview offered whenever possible?

Were you sarcastic when you said "ridiculous"?

Your ECs are superb, IMO. You have your own NGO?

Of course, it's Princeton, but good luck with your SATs again.

Hey, I read a post by a guy who said that his weighted GPA is 4.80/4.

Is that possible?

Yeah, but he probably meant 4.8 on a 4 unweighted scale, 5 weighted. My school does that too--an A in an AP class equals 5.0, but on an unweighted scale it's only 4.0. So yes, it's possible, but it's a little misleading--he should have said 4.8 on a 5.0 scale. That's still an amazing GPA, BTW.

It's possible because different schools weight different ways for different classes. I'd largely ignore weighted GPAs (and even unweighted) when you look at chance threads. You're only seeing a number without context.

Oh...Ok... but in my case, I took the most demanding courses my school had to offer, so do keep that in mind :)

Good Chances at Any School Other Than the Ivies (If this comment is anything new)

Your SAT's are Lower than Their Typical Applicant Pool

(However, the fact that you had tuberculosis can help minimize the effect)

Amazing Extra-Curriculars

Nice Community Service-Schools Want Longevity and Dedication

Good Luck

Thanks guys... any more takers?

It's not entirely clear... you're not a US citizen, right?

Nope, I'm an Indian citizen.

Do you know the procedure for getting recruited. I know I can make it, but being international makes the process a bit unclear.

Cmon guys, I need some advice about athlete recruitments...

if you can back all those ec´s up with proof i cant see a college rejecting you...

Well what kind of proof? I didn't send anything with my applications, but yes, I will if the college asks me to produce them.

Your an international, which means those SAT score ranges don't apply to you. For top 50 universities a 2200+ is usually required for internationals, plain and simple.

Not necessarily... a girl from India with a SAT 1 score of 2070 made it to Princeton this year...

SATs alone can neither get you accepted OR rejected. They're a part of your application like everything else...

BUMP please
