Given my extreme disdain for chance-me threads, let me start by saying that it's nigh impossible to predict what the admissions office will do.

That said, I don't know if the SAT will be such a huge problem. I know they're low, but at least Princeton doesn't care if they think they're getting a good deal. Slightly more stuck up places like Harvard and MIT will be a problem though. Actually, the others might be right... I know Princeton doesn't lean that heavily on the SAT, but the other Ivies will be tough - not to say Princeton will be easy.

However, I agree with tomo88. Your ECs do make it seem like you're taking them for a ride. Maybe a bit of modesty is warranted. The office will rarely ask for proof... I have actually never heard of such a case, because a demand for proof is tantamount to their accusing the applicant of falsification.

Your financial aid application also factors into the whole process, especially since you're international... And athlete recruitments are sketchy for us internationals as well.

Keep your fingers crossed... By the way, Interview offers are given to everyone. I've had a couple people ask me this already (presumably they've got interview emails) and there obviously has been no app review yet. Most ivies (maybe except Harvard) interview internationals without looking at their apps.

You're looking much better than the average applicant though.

About my school, it has never sent students abroad, let alone to the US. It offers the most competitive courses, but is a lower middle class school. Our annual fee is only $90!

you sound rather perfect, too perfect in fact. How did you find the time to do all of that...admission officers get skeptical when there is that much stuff and only 24 hrs in a day. But hey, i was blown away when i read your stats...good luck

Your chances thread has already elicited much more responses than the typical chances thread, so I don't see why you keep bumping it up since a general consensus has already been reached:

1) Your SATs are too low but if you retake in Jan and get 2200+ you'll be in a very good position.
2) Your EC's are fantastic.

But if you're applying for financial aid as an international, be warned that it will have an effect on your chances (excluding H+Y of course).

Also, the fact that your school has never sent anyone to the US might be a concern since Adcoms won't know what to compare it to in terms of things like grade inflation, difficulty etc.

Athletic recruitment is already well underway, and it's a bit late to start contacting coaches since this usually happens before summer/beginning of the school year.

I reread this, and I really think adcoms are going to question your resume. I don't know much about India, but if I saw an American kid post this thread, I would call B.S. right off the bat. The quality and rigor of your activities comes into question when you claim to excel in so many things.

An American kid who directed a national production of a play and excelled in classes would have no time for anything else. An American who has won a national award for swimming swims 12 months a year. The odds alone of being able to participate in so many activities and work and volunteer without schedules that overlap on a daily basis are astronomical.

I'm not calling you a liar; I don't know you or your school or your country, but holy **** dude.

Your ECs make me incredibly jealous, mind donating a few of them to me, you can just mail me the proof and I will just switch the names. =)

Don't worry, I would guess you will get into half of those on your list. As noted, the Ivies are almost impossible to predict but you have a better chance than most of the applicants I have seen.
