<p>Your application looks pretty strong, but your ACT is at the bottom 25%. I hear Rice has a well-rounded admissions policy though, so you still look competitive. If you raise your ACT to a 32/33, I’d say you have over a 50% chance of acceptance.</p>

<p>No one but the Admissions staff really knows anything about chances. Your “fellow Greg” gave you some good data about where your ACT score is in relation to current Rice students, but I’d take his 50% chance estimate with a huge grain of salt. What could he possibly base that on? If you’re interested in Rice, you should apply. Good luck!</p>
