<p>Please tell me whether I have a chance in applying ED to Columbia SEAS or Cornell SOE</p>
<p>I'm Asian, and I'm studying in a school for gifted students in my country.</p>
<p>(*) Stats:
-GPA: 9.2/10 (top 10% of my class)
-SAT 1: Haven't received score from the June test yet but probably around 2000. I will definitely retake in October. Target score is 2200+
-SAT 2: Will take Math II, Physics and Japanese in November. Practice test scores are Math II 800, Physics 800, Japanese 730
-Part of my school's team to participate in the city Chinese language Olympiad</p>
<p>(*) Honors:
-Third prize in the District Electrical Engineering Olympiad (9th grade)
-Third prize in the District Physics Olympiad (9th grade)
- Fourth prize in the District English Olympiad (9th grade)</p>
<p>(*) Extracurricular Activities:
- Participated in a national forum about solving current national issues. Had a chance to meet and exchange ideas with famous specialists and guess speakers
- Vice-President of the largest free tutoring service for high school students in my country. Also spend 6 hours tutoring Physics for students in grade 11 or lower
- Technician Intern at a local company
- Fundraising manger of my school annual Orientation Day and Club Fair
- Founder and Director of an online Bookstore whose profit is given to charity
- Captain of both my high school's Varsity Baseball and Varsity Soccer</p>
<p>(*) Other information:
- Need a lot of FA (can only contribute $8k/year)
- Can speak 4 languages (Japanese, Chinese, English and mother tongue language). Does it count as a hook?</p>
<p>Personally I think my strength is I am pretty well-rounded (good grades, ECAs and sports).
I really need some advice, so please share your thoughts! And also, can you guys tell me what my weakness is? And what can I do to improve my profile?</p>
