<p>Hi all! I'm a Junior in HS and I'm worried about college acceptances.</p>

<p>I'm a bit confused about the phrase 'rigor of secondary school record'. Does it mean the intensity of the course load you took regardless of the grades, or grades included, or just grades regardless of the courses?</p>

Honors English 2: 86
Honors Spanish 2: 88

Drama Major: 96
Chemistry: 82</p>

<p>GPA (weighted) 3.6</p>

<p>Junior Year (SO FAR):
AP Physics: 78
AP US 2: 78
AP English: 95
Honors Spanish 3: 81
PreCalculus: 80
Drama Major: 95</p>

<p>GPA (weighted) 3.5</p>

<p>PSAT Scores:
Math: 590
Reading: 640
English: 700</p>

<p>Total: 1930</p>

<p>ECs:
-Spanish National Honors Society: 2 Years
-Relay for Life team member: 3 years
-Appel Farm Summer Arts & Music Program: Attendee for 4 summers and Counselor-in-Training for 1
-YMCA Model United Nations delegate: 2 years. Won 'Outstanding Proposal' and 'Outstanding Delegate' at Mock-Session and recieved an invitation to attend the CONA national model-UN session.</p>

<p>I realize that the grades aren't perfect...but i'm hoping perhaps my initiative to take on such a challenging course load will make somewhat of a difference?</p>

<p>You need to get your AP physics and US2 grades up to the B range before the end of the year. Otherwise most if not all of your list will fall into the "reach" category. A challenging course load is only impressive if you do well in it.
Don't forget to research some safety schools.
Keep working hard....you still have time to improve your final grades.</p>
