Please Chance me at these colleges? (will Chance back-promise!)

Hi! I’m finally a high school senior, and with college application process coming along…you can say I’m nervous…

I have a list of colleges:
Fordham University
Cornell University
NYU
Johns Hopkins
Rutgers University (Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy)

I was wondering about my chances to each! Thank you!

Statistics:
I have been taking all honors courses throughout high school, and in senior year, am signed up for one AP course and 2 other college level classes. I’ll take my AP tests for English and Physics senior year, so can’t provide scores…
GPA: W: 4.08…UW: 3.7 (I’ll definitely get it up w/senior up)

ACT (w/Writing): 30
SAT II: Math Level 1: 700…Literature: 720

Class rank: 30/800 (so like top 4%)

ECs:
-100+ hours of community service at a nursing home
-Senior year: Internship at a courthouse (working alongside judges + lawyers)
-National World Language Honor Society
-Bengali Hindu Cultural Society
-JV Tennis Team (1 yr)
-JV/V Golf Team (2 yrs)
-Skills USA (CSI division…I’ll start competing this year)

I think that’s all…thank you so much!!

@labmedicine Your ACT score and GPA are mediocre, and your ECs are a bit weak.

Fordham - match
Rutgers-Mario Program and NYU - high match
Cornell and John Hopkins - low reach

Best of luck!

@EIC2400 Thank you! I’m going to take the ACT again and see if I can improve.

@labmedicine I missed the internship you’re doing this upcoming year, which is a nice addition to your EC resume.

If you go up to a 32, all of the aforementioned colleges will be matches for you. I would be wary of NYU’s ungenerous financial aid and make sure it’s in your budget range. Are you an NYS resident? If so, some Cornell colleges (i.e. ILR) will be a lot cheaper.

Have a great weekend; best of luck!

@EIC2400 Thanks, again. I’m hoping for a 32! Best of luck with your testing, as well.
Also, in regards to NYU, I realize the horrible financial aid package they offer, and that is why I’m not necessarily too eager to get accepted there. I am a NJ resident (that’s why I’m looking into Rutgers).

Thank you, and have a nice weekend, as well!

Fordham University: match
Cornell University: low reach
NYU: low reach/high match
Johns Hopkins: low reach
Rutgers (Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy): high/match

I think you have a decent chance at all of these schools, as long as you improve your stats a little. I would definitely try to get your ACT up to at least a 32 or 33. Your UW GPA is a little low; your chances will be a lot better if you improve your GPA to a 3.9. Your class rank is nice. An internship will definitely be a nice addition to your ECs. If you’re able to improve your ACT and GPA, I don’t think you’ll have too much to worry about!! Good luck!

chance me back as well please

The face that you have taken so many honors classes is great! Try taking the ACT again; a better score will only increase your chances. Cornell and JHU would be reaches, but you have a great chance at making it into Rutgers and Fordham. Good luck!

Get that ACT scores up and your chances to each of these schools rises dramatically. Also, attain a leadership position in a school club or something of that sort to exhibit leadership. I would suggest even starting your own club to exhibit
