Personally, I dont think you have a good shot. Your grades are more of the “new-ivy” type. I’d recommend NYU, BC, BU, Tufts etc. Your GPA is below the Brown average and so are your SATs. You’d be in the lower 10th percentile of applicants, meaning that you mighhhhhhhhht get in but chances are you wont.

Conclusion: Dont apply ED. Apply RD because you still have a fighting chance, albeit a small one. Apply to lots of other schools. You have good numbers… just not for ivies. Good luck.

For you to go down to 3.5 overall GPA in high school from a 4.0 just one year before, it must have required some “C” if you had a 4.0 average after Sophomore year. Right?

your ECs are better than average but still not spectacular and the fact that you are a dual citizen with Afghanistan is kind of a hook (are you a minority) but regardless your grades and SAT scores are on the far lower end of the ivy league spectrum

so, unless you have some extreme circumstances (inner city, not a lot of available resources, etc) or a a desirable minority…I don’t see brown happening
