Please Chance me for Clemson!

Hi!! I applied to Clemson as an OOS student… I just want to get a sense of how I may fair in the application process.
GPA: 3.9W / 3.4UW (highly competitive public high school)
ACT: 29 / 31 super scored
All Honors and AP classes

NHS 11th and 12th grade
Honor Roll all four years

I also have a few extracurricular clubs that I have dedicated myself too, along with creating/organizing 4 different community service programs throughout my high school career (such as raising awareness for reckless driving and raising awareness for homeless veterans), which take about 150 hours of my time each year.

Thank you!!

Clemson does not super score ACT. You are in the ballpark however if you are applying for a tough major such as engineering or nursing it becomes more difficult. Take a look at the Clemson Common Data set which sets forth lots of information https://www.clemson.edu/institutional-effectiveness/documents/oir/CommonDataSet2016.pdf

Ugh @burghdad. I just looked more closely at that and am now even more nervous for my son. His SAT superscore is 1420, but very lopsided. 790M & 630R which puts him on the lower end. I want so badly for this waiting to be over, but I don’t want to wish away their last year at home!!

@burghdad thank you for this. Very helpful!

@burghdad I think you accidentally included the link for the 2016 data set. Here is the link for the most recent data set (2017). https://www.clemson.edu/institutional-effectiveness/documents/oir/CommonDataSet2017.pdf

@xn3mom yep you are correct. Thanks for cleaning up my mess…lol

@mamawitch that 790M is obviously an outstanding score and if he looking for STEM majors he should be in good shape.

Thanks @burghdad. He applied for business/finance. I don’t think that’s considered STEM, but I think definitely a field that makes since with his scores. Fingers crossed. He’s been accepted into Smeal at Penn State, but he’d prefer to be somewhere South!!

I’d love to sit in a room with a cup of coffee watching all the admissions people at work. I think it’d be pretty interesting to see how it’s all done. With so many applications I can’t imagine they can spend much time on each one.
