Yale is a long shot for almost everyone. I don’t think you have the numbers to do it though. That’s my opinion - don’t let the opinions of others keep you from trying to get what you want!

You have a great list of ECs - just make sure that it’s not just a ‘list’ though, and that you are actively involved in them (any leadership?)
You have some good grades for 9th/10th, and of course, your illness can explain the drop in 11th - don’t forget to mention that!

SAT is a little low for Ivies, but it’s still not impossible. Yale looks at more than just the numbers.

Living in Nigeria might also make for a very interesting essay topic.

you have a fair chance, but of course, Yale is a reach for everyone, as PAVenturuer said.

Your grades and scores are too low to yield a decent chance.

SCEA would be a waste. Use early app time to apply elsewhere.

To tell you the truth, I don’t think you have a broad chance for SCEA. Were it just EA, I would advise you to apply, but since its single-choice, you might want to consider other schools for your early bid.

Thanks for the replies.
Um @topasalacua13 I led a lot of mY ECs or held some position.

If my scores are high in my last two years of IB is it a lot more important than my other years?

my GPA right now is the equivalent of a 4.0 unwieghted and i think about 4.3 wieghted and i think i can maintain or go higher next year.

Will high SAT2s help with my low SAT 1?

What can i do to boost my chances???

^ Solve world hunger.
