I think you have a good chance for all the schools you’ve written down as your background and interests will make you stand out.
I would say, just do what you are doing and work a little bit harder on the standardized scores. Scores aren’t everything in admissions but usually categorized as Universities as “very important,” along with rigor of secondary education and GPA.
A lot of excellent applicants apply, and there are also many with great scores AND ECs!

Be sure to show the uniqueness of your activities in your essays and application!

Being an international student will mean your not likely to get much aid. But I think you stand a fair shot at the schools you listed. Your ECs seem passionate and your scores are definetely up there. As i say in most of my posts its up to your essays to help you stand out. Your situation is very sttractive imo. Good luck!

Chance me?

Thank you, guys!
BTW, actually HYP, Standford, Dartmouth and Amherst are need-blind for international students ! Lucky me if I get accepted

Other opinions? :D

You seem to have a lot of creativity-related EC’s, so make those shine in your essays! I think with those expected test results and the uniqueness of your application, you have a solid chance. I don’t know that much about international admissions, but that’s how I feel from looking at your stats. No one is a guaranteed admit at the ivies, but you are a solid candidate.

Thank you @baylahh !

bumb bumb bumb!

aaand bump again!!

I have read that international applicants are viewed with a much more strict eye & especially admissions officers look at the financial ability of the applicants because its hard to accept too many international students. I think you really have the academics done but I think that you should start taking some math and science classes. Ivy leagues definitely like a well-rounded applicant. And really start volunteering. It shows that you can do well academically while accomplishing other things.
And there isnt a major hook that can really make you stand out (same with me). So try something new~~~

Hope this helps. And good luck to you!

I think that instead of a video, you should send writing because I believe depth in one subject reaps greater benefits than dabbling in many! I think once you get your testing done and they’re as high as you anticipate them to be you’ll be sitting pretty. Just be sure to make yourself stand out lots because thousands of people apply internationally and Yale specifically has only 10% international students per class. Also, pour EVERYTHING into your essays because when many applicants have similar achievements in extracurriculars and academia the admissions counselors will need something to separate you from all the other applicants. Overall I think you have a great chance of getting into Dartmouth but probably a less likely chance of getting into Yale because with Yale nothing is certain haha.

I’m not sure how the Ivies are about international students, but I think your scores and your background give you a good chance of getting in. Your ECs look very interesting, make sure to talk about them in your essays and I think you will stand out from the other applicants.

Thank you all guys!
Other options and advises are welcomed anyway! :)

Bumppppp ???

buuuuuuuuuuump!

Hey! I’m an international student trying to get into the same schools as you. Your stats are impressive, especially your ECs (I know how difficult it is for us Western Europeans to manage keeping high grades and being active outside of school… you americans have the easy life!). Anyways, I have just no idea about admissions or anything, I’m a prospective student. But I think they will like how initiative and creative you are : not many young ppl create a successful facebook fan page, or organise international meetings, or even write something that has been read 40 000 times. So your chances are high! Maybe your GPA is a downside : 7.1 is good but maybe 8 is better (I know it can always be better… but you want to go Yale.) Hmmm what else? Do you speak any languagues apart from Italian and English?
But I think you have your chances in the Ivies, maybe even safety for Brown/Cornell/Penn ?

CHANCE ME BACK PLEASE Buona fortuna! (did I say it right? :p) http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/international-students/1390066-french-baccalaureate-international-student-applying-top-us-colleges.html

A math II subject test would definetely help you, your sat score is just fine since you did so well on the other tests, I personally believe that you have a serious shot at UPenn, Cornell and maybe Brown but I would recommed you to apply to all of the ivies and see what happens, be sure to prepare very well your app since the competition is fierce haha. Good luck.

Well if you aim for a SAT-I score of around 2250 and Math-II around 750 then I’d say you have a decent chance of being accepted at atleast 3 of them. Your EC’s are very good… Now chance me back please :P

All schools are extremely high reaches.
