<p>I'm a junior in high school</p>

<p>I took the March SAT (my first official SAT and retaking it in May) and got my scores back yesterday</p>

<p>SAT scores:</p>

<p>Writing: 550
Reading: 570
Math: 610
Essay: 6 (Really really need to work on my essays)
Total: 1730 (Went up 155 from the last diagnostic I took the night before)</p>

<p>G.P.A:</p>

<p>I'm not entirely sure on my GPA (I'm going to get my transcript once I get back from spring break)</p>

<p>I think I have a 3.25 unweighted and a 3.5 weighted (The reason it is so low is because I missed a week of school last year towards the end and that brought me down to a C in one of my classes)</p>

<p>Activites:</p>

<p>I have been on a club swim team from (2005 - 2010) (Present - )
I have been in Tang Soo Do from (2003 - 2007) (2010 - 2011)
I am helping to start a group at my school that is a branch of a non-profit humanitarian organization </p>

<p>Volunteer:</p>

<p>Once a month I volunteer at a homeless shelter and serve food and spend time with the kids
I have helped at my church's springfest every year for the past few years (2008, 2009, 2010)</p>

<p>I’m not very familiar with the colleges you posted, so I apologize if they’re not very accurate. You also posted on my board about improving my SAT scores but I think you misread? A lot of schools disregard the writing portion so they can consider the score to be out of 1600 or 2400.</p>

<p>I have to agree with shyoo’s assumption, as your GPA and SAT unfortunately are significantly below Occidental’s average. UC Santa Cruz is possibly a high match or low reach, and I don’t know much about Marish, UH Manoa, or Prat. CSU San Marcos is probably in, if not match.</p>

<p>I think you have good chances at Marist. Don’t know on the others. Drew (NJ) might be worth a look also. Best of luck!</p>
