Hello! About a month or so ago, I received an email from QuestBridge. After researching the organization, I felt like it would be a great opportunity for me to apply through them. One of my top picks--Wellesley College-- is one of their partner schools, and I'm really aiming to be accepted (possibly through the binding College Match program). However, I'm not sure if I have what it takes to be chose. I'm still going to apply regardless, but I would like some input as to where I stand with my current information.

I am an Asian (Japanese) female set to graduate in 2015. My parents are divorced (my dad was an alcoholic so they split up). My father is now disabled and hasn't paid child support for much of my life; he struggles financially and would not be able to help with my college fees. My mother supports us with one income (around $30k), as we don't receive help from my father. I have an older sister who suffered with depression, bulimia, and anorexia. We were forced to move from California to Idaho when I was a child due to financial reasons.

As for academic information:

-Weighted GPA: 4.13

-SAT: 1890 (plan on taking it a second time in October. Will not take the ACT)
-Subject Tests: 650 on Biology M, 760 on US History, and 740 on World History

-AP scores: World History (5), US History (5), Biology (4), Language and Composition (5). Will take Government, Physics, Calculus, and Literature my senior year.

-ECs/Clubs: I've been involved with music for 7 years in concert bands, honor orchestras, marching bands, and jazz bands. I was section leader in my high school band and drum major in our marching band. I've been in Honor Society for 2 years. I played volleyball, tennis, and basketball for one year. I've done volunteer work, but not a lot. I have some job experience as well.

I'm pretty doubtful that I'll be matched, but I'll try to raise my scores and write good essays.

Thank you for reading this through!! Sorry, I know it's a lot...
I know QuestBridge doesn't have strict acceptance guidelines, but does anyone think I can be matched? Any tips on the QB application? Many thanks!
