Schools:

Boston University
UC Berkeley
University of Pennsylvania (Wharton) - ED
Cornell University
Vassar College
University of Michigan
Columbia University
University of Virginia (Mcintire)
Fordham University (Gabelli)
New York University (Stern)
Northeastern University
Syracuse University (Whitman)

Thanks once again

If you score at 2000+, as you expect, you should be in at BU, Fordham, NYU Stern, Michigan, Northeastern, UCB, and Syracuse. I’m not familiar with Vassar, and the Ivies are always iffy (although Cornell has the highest acceptance rate of all Ivy League schools in recent years). Everything else (ECs and other academics) looks solid. Good luck on your SAT retake! :)

Chance me back please? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1118399-chance-theatre-acting-inclined-junior-ill-chance-you-back-4.html</a></p>

The only thing that’s really lacking is the SAT score. If you can get it up, your chances for all these schools increase dramatically.

Boston University - high match
UC Berkeley - reach
University of Pennsylvania (Wharton) - ED - high reach
Cornell University - reach
Vassar College - reach
University of Michigan - reach
Columbia University - high reach
University of Virginia (Mcintire) - reach
Fordham University (Gabelli) - high match
New York University (Stern) - low reach
Northeastern University - match
Syracuse University (Whitman) - match

I don’t know about your courseload, but it would help your case if you are taking lots of APs and honors. You essay idea sounds awesoooome, and it could be what gets you in.

BU- match
UCB- high match/low reach
UPENN ED- high match (cuz of ED)
Cornell- reach
Vassar- dunno sry
U Mich- match
Columbia- reach
U Virginia- match
Fordham- dunno
NYU- high match
Northeastern- match/high match
Syracuse- match

Im on my phone, so I can’t copy the list and paste it.
in any case, everything about your application is great except, as said before, your sat scores. If you get above the 2000, you should get in to the majority of the schools you apply to, including Cornell and Stern, where you’ll have a significant chance of admission.
now, for wharton, don’t worry about this school because its so crazy to get into. Look for scores 2300+ for wharton, as the best way to get into the school. Even then, though, its a high reach because its wharton.
my final suggestion is find your passion. While your ecs are great and varied, which one do you love the most? Which one would you do for the rest of your life? And in what ways does the ec drive your passions to finance? :)

Thanks for chancing me!
It is interesting that you can speak 4 languages - fluent? Also, progaming hahahha - which game(s)? You are a well rounded applicant, but your SAT is weak - may need 2100 or so for the top schools. Fin aid need may play in, seeing as you are international.

Raising your SAT will help substantially, these are for ~2000.
Boston University - high match
UC Berkeley - high match/low reach
University of Pennsylvania (Wharton) - ED - reach
Cornell University - reach/low reach
Vassar College - match
University of Michigan - match (Ross - low reach)
Columbia University - reach
University of Virginia (Mcintire) - low reach/high match
Fordham University (Gabelli) - match/high match
New York University (Stern) - high match/low reach
Northeastern University - match
Syracuse University (Whitman) - high match

if you get that sat score up into the 2000s, all of those schools should be in your reach…although upenn, cornell, and columbia are reaches for even the strongest applicants.

@stary

i think i will write about my passion in politics as it’s most significant and link it in with a finance/econs major. thanks for chancing!

@daemon

yeah i can speak all of them fluently, and with the pro-gaming i played a variety of games including counter strike, battlefield2/2142 and call of duty 2/4/5 competitively.

guess which one’s me, haha!

ooh nice, what a boss

im decent myself at css, tf2 - never got into cod/bf2

bumpppppppppppppppppppppp!

BU- match
UCB- low reach
UPENN ED- high match (cuz of ED)
Cornell- reach
Vassar- mach
U Mich- match
Columbia- reach
U Virginia- match
Fordham- match
NYU- high match
Northeastern- match
Syracuse- match

Just bring up those SAT scores.
I cannot believe that you are quadrilingual! awesomesauce.

thanks for the chances guys! bump! if you leave your thread here, ill chance back!

Just work on your SAT score if you get around a 2100ish I believe Columbia will be a low reach because my friend got in with a 3.5 GPA but you are an asian male so that might be a setback good luck with your retake!

You probably also want to take another SAT II, because almost every school that does actually still require SAT IIs want them in two different subject areas. Just sayin’.

Well, you are an international student so your situation is very different than the norm and i don’t know much about it. However, your gpa is solid and I found your role as the International Student Council President incredibly impressive:) Good luck

If you raise your SAT score:

Boston University - match
UC Berkeley - you never know because you’re OOS
University of Pennsylvania (Wharton) - ED - low reach
Cornell University- low reach
Vassar College- low reach
University of Michigan - match
Columbia University- reach
University of Virginia (Mcintire)
Fordham University (Gabelli) - match
New York University (Stern) - low reach
Northeastern University - low reach
Syracuse University (Whitman) - match

Your application is awesome apart from the SAT I score, as everyone else has said. If you manage to bring it up to around 2100, you’ll have a solid chance anywhere. If you don’t, you may want to consider Middlebury and Bowdoin, which are two great schools that don’t require the SAT I.

Are you going to apply for financial aid? This is a very important factor in international admissions.

As you are a very interesting and unique applicant I think you have a better chance then most people with that SAT score. Have you ever considered trying the ACT, for some its a better fit. You will probably need a 31-33 ACT or 2100-2250 to have a shot at the Ivies, and a 34 or 2300 would make you a stunning candidate for any school. I normally don’t like to obsess over test scores, but you should at least try to be in the middle 50% range most colleges publish on their website if you want to be confident since most people below the 25% are athletes and legacies, or people with other special circumstances of some type.

Chance back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1134986-chances-top-business-schools-math-lowest-subscore.html</a></p>

if your SAT was higher you could apply to Upenn Huntsman…

You should do great at all schools other than Ivies (which are reaches for everyone) if you pass the 2000 mark.
