I just got denied from San Diego and I don't know when the last wave or rest of USC decisions are coming so please chance me for temporary relief or possibly a reality shock aha. Thanks a million :D

SAT I: Math: 800
Reading/Writing: 640 each
Total: 2080
SAT II: Math IIc: 800
Korean Lang: 710
GPA: W: 3.3 (I know this is my killer and downfall =/ )
UW: Slightly below 3.0
ALOT of AP courses 4/5 on all of the AP tests.

EC: 6-7 years of Boy Scouts, also an Eagle Scout, 3-4 years of Taekwondo, 1 year of volunteering at City of Hope.

Even without any scholarships, what are my possible chances of getting in dry into USC with just financial aide? D: thanks

They may be more inclined to take you than UCSD would, because the UCs weight GPA more heavily (based solely on the perceptions I've gotten from this board, so someone else dispute my statement if it is incorrect) than USC does.

nah I think you have a good chance of being accepted :) what major did you apply for? because some schools at USC are slightly more competitive than others. good luck! :)

philip -- how did you do on UCSD's formula? Is there an area you expected to get bonus points and didn't? Were you over 7500 points?

3.3 weighted killed you. I mean those are Merced numbers. Your 800 and 640 indicate that if you had applied yourself you should have been close to or above 4.0 weighted. What do you think that tells the adcom? How would YOU describe a student with that profile?

I'd say "when you're serious about school, we can talk. Until then, stop wasting your life. Go get As at CC and you'll have proved you'll do well IN CLASS here".
