I will also be applying to UND and NDSU which are state institutes. I do not think I’ll have any troubles getting into either of these two colleges. I appreciate any feedback.

I’m going to be quite honest:

Everything is good, but your ACT is a bit low. I would consider retaking-but then again Yale asks for all scores.

Your lack of standardized testing makes you a bit hard to place.

On the other hand, your ECs are brilliant. Although John Hopkins doesn’t really look at EC’s as much as ivies, Yale will look at them for sure and your leadership positions will bolster your application much.

Don’t worry about UND or NDSU, that would be a safety school.

Best of luck!!

I’m not aware of many other applicants like you. I believe you have a significant chance, due to your farm work.

Your ACT is a little lacking, but I believe can be made up for by an incredible essay about hard, farm work.

On the whole, you have as good a chance as anyone.

You have strong ECs. Your ACT might be a little low, but that doesn’t mean you won’t get in. Your essay will probably be unique. You have a strong chance. It all just depends on your luck.
:)

So do you guys think retaking my ACT would be worth it if I improved to a 33 or 34? I mean there is always a chance that it will go down too.

Right, so make sure you are 80% sure your score will go up through practice testing.

Are there any things I should do senior year to make my application seem more presentable? I have taken the ACT 3 times already so I think it might hurt me if I take it again. Also, I’m not sure if I could score much higher because my high school isn’t really the most challenging even though I take the most difficult curriculum possible. Any feedback is appreciated.

i think you have a good chance of getting into these colleges as long as you maintain your grades. make sure your essays are good, and your recommendations. chance back?

more than 50% of people who retake ACTs get higher scores the second time. I would say that it is worth it.

But what about the 4th time? This is the number of ACT I’d be on if i retook it.
