Please Chance me I am stressed out

Cal Poly GPA: 3.84 W and Capped 3.62 UW and 4.12W (I did really bad freshman year)
UC GPA : 3.76UW 4.03W and Capped 4.31W
GPA: 3.71UW 4.22UW (Big upward trend, this includes projected senior year grades)
I have a 504 (meaning I have a non-mental disability, this disability caused me to do pretty poorly freshman year)
ACT: 32
I have taken 11 AP Classes
I think I have pretty good ECs decent essays and decent req letters.
Intended Major for Cal Poly SLO is Eniviromental science
Econ or Business Admin for everything else. (For NYU i applied for Wagner Public Policy ED)

School List:
UCSD
UCSB
UCI
UCSC
Cal Poly SLO
NYU Applied ED To Wagner Major: Public Policy
Babson College Applied EA
Bentley College
University of Toronto
University of Washington Seattle I want to go to Foster but will probably have to do so standard admisson if I end up going to UofW because freshman direct is extremely difficult.

?

Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19:

UCB: 12%
UCLA: 14%
UCSD: 39%
UCSB: 49%
UCD: 52%
UCI: 57%
UCSC: 83%
UCR: 90%
UCM: 92%

You are a competitive applicant for the SLO and the UC’s on your list. UCSD will be the toughest admit but you are within range with your Stats. Good Luck.

Thanks gumby

Someone help me for nyu

I only need chances on non-cali schools now.

Since I don’t know your extracurriculars, I assume your extracurriculars are impressive.
UCSD match
UCSB safety
UCI safety
UCSC safety
Cal Poly SLO Cal Poly
NYU Applied ED To Wagner Major: Public Policy high reach- low match
Babson College Applied EA high match
Bentley College match
University of Toronto I don’t know a lot about schools in Canada Sorry
University of Washington Seattle safety

@JonathanChang ? High reach- Low match doesn’t make any sense a low match means that it pretty close to a safety school. so for NYU how can i be a high reach through a low match? High Match means that the chances are slightly worse than a match and a low match means chances are slightly higher than a safety, same thing for High Reach, Reach and Low Reach.

I think you have the UCs and CSU spot on, expect I believe UCSB and UCI are Matches not safety schools but I am not sure.

Also I am not applying for NYU Stern I applied for CAS- Wagner Public Policy and than Music Business at Stienhardt.

I know CAS is a little bit more competitive than the regular NYU admit rate (33%) but Stienhardt is like 45% admit rate, and I know admit rate isn’t really much of a factor when it comes to quality of education but I believe Stienhardt is easier to get into than LSP.

Sorry!!!
Well, I think you have a greeeeeet chance of entering NYU.
45% admit rate is indeed pretty high and your profile is kinda outstanding.
Hope your ECs are really impressive! Good essays help a lot!
Hope you will get in!

Wait so when you said High Match for Babson (Meaning the chances are slightly lower than a match) You mean’t low match (chances are slightly higher than a match) @JonathanChang

??

I’m guessing you’ll get in to pretty much everywhere you applied. Chance me back, please? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1939905-chance-me.html#latest

Also I am well above the top 9 percent of the cali graduates so I am guaranteed admission to a UC right?

Yes you are guaranteed admission to UC Merced.

@Gumbymom Oh great lol. Looks like I have my definite safety. Quick question, if I was considering pursuing an MBA what majors at UCLA or UCB should I consider? Not sure if you know this or not. If you do could you list like 3 or 4?

Econ, Business Econ, Bus Admin, CS, Engineering, Communications. Undergrad major really matters little to get into an MBA program. Select any major that interests you.

@Gumbymom great thank you! Also not sure if you know this but I am a little concerned about my little brother (10th grader) he just took the “PreACT” (a guess a new test similar to the psat I never took it) anyway the test is out of 36 just like the real ACT but he got his results back and got a 22, I was looking over it and it seemed as if the majority of the questions he missed where the last few questions (he got around 8- 10 questions wrong per section with the majority of them being from the last 6 or 7 questions of the test) he said he ran out of time and guessed on the last few, should I be concerned about this for him, or does he just need to work on timing so he has more time to finish up? I remember for me when taking practice tests I always missed the last few questions but after practice I got better at it, and was able to finish with time to spare, do you think he is in a similar boat? Sorry for all the random questions you just seem to be very knowledgeable at this lol (My parents did not go to college and have no idea about college so I am kind of like his counselor)

Timing is very important on the ACT. The more practice tests you take, the better you get the feel for the test. Just let him work on it this year and through the summer. I am sure he will see an improvement as his practices so he will be ready to take an actual test next year.
