<p>please chance me? my dream school is princeton but i would also like your opinion on any ivy league schools too. :)</p>

<p>i'm a stressed out junior but i calculated some stuff out and this is what i will have for next year:</p>

<p>GPA-unweighted: 3.65
GPA-weighted: 4.4
Frosh year: 3 honors classes
Soph year: 4 honors classes
Junior year: 4 AP
senior year: 4 AP </p>

<p>AP US exam: 5
AP BIO: 5
AP CALC AB: 5
AP LANG: 5</p>

<p>SAT: 2350
SAT 2 US HISTORY: 780
SAT 2 MATH II: 790
SAT2 BIOLOGY: 780</p>

<p>-i am fairly sure i will get some strong teacher's recommendations
-my essay will be pretty decent as well</p>

-was class president all throughout middle school, now student council rep.
-at least 350 volunteer hours at: princeton medical center, chinese school, library, tutoring programs, charities
-founded my own charity that donates several hundred books every few months to poor schools in china
-teen advisory committee
-president of academic decathlon. acdec varsity A team member for 4 years
-editor-in-chief of literary magazine
-vp of future business leaders of america
-varsity fencing for 4 years, 2nd place at frosh/soph tourney. level E
-school fencing team squad captain
-taekwondo for 7 years, 2nd degree black belt
-2 bronze medals at taekwondo competitions, 1 silver
-piano for 10 years, level advanced, several awards from competitions
-i give weekly piano lessons to younger kids
-2 solo charity trips to china to raise awareness and donate
-advanced concert band, flute for 5 years
-researched and presented original findings in a dissertation on oneirology. received bronze award.
-i have a job as a teacher's assistant at an art school
-i founded a tutoring society for kids in elementary and middle school during the summers.</p>

<p>NOTE: i'm still a junior but i plan to participate in brain bee and earn a spot to compete in the international competition. i also plan to get an internship this summer.</p>

<p>i really really want to know if i have any chance at all to get into princeton, yale, harvard, or stanford. my parents sacrificed so much for me and i want to get accepted by one of those school so badlyyyy. please let me know what you think. any responses are appreciated!! thank you so much! :)</p>

<p>Well, I honestly can’t say too much, as your GPA is ALOT OFF what they usually get. Most apps are like 3.9-4.0 GPA’s as val’s and sal’s</p>

<p>SAT’s are good, EC’s are decent.</p>

<p>Hopefully you can pull it around with a really good essay (which is what ultimately seems to determine admission to stuff like HYPS)</p>

<p>Perhaps if it was a typo and meant to be like 3.95, you still have the same, crapshot.</p>

<p>Honor Lions, even if the GPA is a 3.65, that doesnt automatically terminate chances of admission. You have amazing SAT scores and an impressive list of extra cirriculars! I think you have a decent chance at the Ivies, even with a 3.65. GPA is relative, after all. Good Luck!</p>

<p>Yeah most schools do look at the transcript, I meant it as if all of her/his grades were like in the 80’s. If it’s one or two classes that killed the GPA, college adcoms would look at it a bit more friendlier.</p>

<p>But nevertheless, this is Princeton, you have plenty of 4.0’s/2400’s applying with similar EC’s. It’s best to be as competitive as possible</p>

<p>According to the website, applicants with a 3.60-3.69 GPA have a 5.6% chance of being admitted. That’s lower than their admission rate, meaning you have an approximately 50% lower chance of being admitted than any random student applying to Princeton.</p>

<p>Considering the fairly stereotypically Asian extracurriculars, I’d say admission to Princeton is unlikely - even with the above-average SAT score.</p>
