****I already applied EA about 3 weeks ago

Good luck! I’m trying I get in too. I’m a Junior.

is this good?

Have you done anything that demonstrated interest prior to applying? Regional college fair visit with admissions rep?Campus visit? Was your “why u of m” essay portion strong and include mention of any demonstrated interest activity?

I have not been able to show any interest, because i live so far away and they didn’t visit my school like many others have. My “why mich” essay was about the strength of the program and how it’s my #1… how so many of my cousins went there and loved it… etc.

What is your uwGPA in UMich calculation?

something around a 3.8 i haven’t really been able to calculate it

They’re sending out prescreen answers in the next few days. Best of luck

@mommafaria What do you mean by “prescreen answers”?

@blip3 You do need to recalculate your uwGPA to see your chance. Do it without subgrades. If it is really 3.8, which is below admission average, your chance would be significantly lowered than the average OOS admission rate of ~20%.

If you’ve applied to the MT program at UM, then you need to send them a prescreen (2 song, 2 monologues and dance). What program are you applying to?

@mommafaria Did you see the intended major of OP to be BME?

You’re likely to get into LSA. I’m not sure about the Engineering School (not enough AP sciences, math)

^^^^ my UW michigan GPA is a 3.863. @billcsho does this make a difference? and does it help that im a girl in engineering or no… @uvoil4 at my school it is not realistic or even really allowed to take more than 2 AP maths and sciences based on tracks we are placed in starting in early middle school/late elementary school. i guess that wouldn’t really be considered though?

^^i was also invited to do a HAIL interview but never heard from my interviewer so was unable to do it.

There is no real standard for GPA. But considering your ACT at 34, your school’s grading curve my be tough and this may help you. They will look at your GPA in the context of your school. Your ACT score is near the 75th percentile, but your Math section score is only at the bottom of mid-50. These is some advantage for female applicants, but UMich CoE is still a mid to high reach for you from OOS.
