Please chance me!

Hi everyone,

I realize that USC is a reach for me, but I would love to go. I'm currently a junior, and GPA is a 3.75 UW and 4.33 W. The major problem I feel is that I have two C's on my transcript, and that was from sophomore year in an honors math class. But I've gotten straight A's junior year so there's an upward trend! I will have taken 9 AP classes and 3 honors classes by the end of senior year. My SAT score is 2130, 690CR 720M and 720W and my ACT score is 32. I'm not as involved as I'd like to be at school, I'm just in CSF (California Scholarship Federation), junior class committee, and math club. I also play HS volleyball, for three years now, and I've played club volleyball for 2 years. I'm more involved outside of school; I tutor young girls at an orphanage and I volunteer at a hospital, weekly. I've been attending Johns Hopkins CTY summer programs every summer as well. Please chance me if you can, and I'd be really thankful if you can suggest some schools in calfornia and out that are more of a target for me!

I don’t see why you are stressing, your grades are above average and I think that your SAT’s largely speak for themselves being in the mid 50% of admits’ ranges. The two C’s should not kill you given the extracurricular and honors’ work. As long as you nailed your essays, short answers, and actually provoked the thoughts of the admissions’ committee you will get in.

For example. My answer to the “What do you want to be when you grow up” question was “Global Nomad.” That and I totally missed the application deadline; given which I submitted all of my paperwork on 4/20.

It worked.
