Do you have an estimate of your class percentile (top 5%, 10% etc).

You have a solid shot ED, can go either way.

GPA is a bit low, depending on the competitiveness of your high school it might not be too big of a factor

Looks like you have a pretty solid shot. Your ECs are little on the light side, though a senior year of internships will be an asset. With strong essays and recs you’re in a good spot. Also, Cornell doesn’t exactly have a Poli Sci Department, it has a Government major, which is essentially the same thing and it requires courses in International Relations. It’s a really cool major with some really interesting classes! Definitely check out the major’s website :)

Good luck!

Seems like you have a good shot! (assuming you come from a pretty highly ranked domestic school - given your school doesn’t rank and that it is a high gpa relative to your class)

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I know my GPA (unweighted) is my weakest point and my ECs are on the lighter side. I have few things planned for improving my overall ECs though. However improving my GPA, from where it is now, before the application time is a tough nut to crack!

What’s an IB certificate in chem? Either you graduate with the diploma or you dont. and howd you take the bio and math tests your 10th grade years but not your other ones? i thought it was pretty standard for all ib schools to be 11th/12th grade and give the ib tests in may of your senior year

As I mentioned in my first post my school has an accelerated IB program that lets us take IB Diloma courses over 10th and 11th. I am also taking IB Chemisty in addition to the courses required for the IB Diploma.
