Please Chance me?

The more I think about all of this, the more hopeless I feel. I'm going to be a senior this year, so my time is running out.

The schools that I really really really want to go to are either UC Berkeley, Stanford University, or MIT. I know these are really.tough schools to get into, but I still would like to know if I still have ANY chance at all.

alright, well here it goes..

Unweighted GPA: 3.8975/4.0
Im not sure about my weighted GPA.
Rank: 2/815
MacArthur High School in Houston, Texas.

SAT I: 1660.. :/ M:660 CR: 450 W: 550

SAT II: physics- 590, math II- 630

ACT: Composite- 27
Math: 33
English: 26
Reading: 22
Science: 26
writing: 25
Essay: 8

AP scores:
-Chemistry-1 (my chem teacher passed away and we just gave up. No one passed in my class)
-World Hist- 2
-U.S. Hist- 3
-English Lang and Comp- 3
-AB Calculus: 5 (i studied my butt off)

This year I'll have AP Gov't, AP BC Calc, AP English Lit and Comp, AP Psych, AP Physics C, and maybe AP Spanish Lang and Comp.

I know my test scores are horrible. I am a really horrible test taker. Like really bad. I plan to retake all of the SAT and ACT tests. Hopefully I'll do better.

ExtraCurriculars:
-I've been in band since 6th grade. I was Woodwind Captain as a junior and Section Leader this year. I was going to be drum major but I resigned because everyone expected me to rather than me really wanting to. Since I was a freshman, I have recieved a Band Student of the Year Award every year. I love band. And my saxophone :D This includes marching band and concert band.
-NHS junior year (the year students are chosen) and president this year
-Science NHS junior year (the year students are chosen) and treasurer this year
-The Dream Team: this summer, I participated in a leadership conference at University of Texas at Austin with selected students in our school district
-Tae Kwon Do for 4 years when I was like 9 years old. I had to stop because the distance was far and we had financial trouble.
-Green is Love: school club that gets students involved with helping the environment
-Language Fair: I went to a spanish competition and recieved two 4th place medals.
-I've participated in Science Fair and History Fair since the 6th grade.

I've done lots of community service and by the end of my senior year, I should have 150+ hours. Including tutoring, helping around the community, going to elementary schools to help and talk to them.

So please chance me? I have a very low self esteem thinking about my chances. Constructive criticism would be appreciated.

My safety schools are UT Austin and Texas A&M. Since I'm a texas resident and in the top 10% of my school, I have automatic admission.

i just realized that i have very similiar SAT scores and GPA as you. Even though i think i’m a a math/ science person, i still know i don’t have the chance to make it to MIT or those top schools. It has been more competitive these days and they will probably consider the other students first. ):… i suggest you should make a list of some safety schools first.

Like you said your test scores are pretty low… keep working hard and try your best to raise your test scores and you might have a shot.

Like everybody else said it is your test scores that are your weak point. I suggest retaking as well as looking into test-optional schools.
