great recommendations (one from a math teacher, I think this will help because math is my worst subject and she clarifies misconceptions about my class averae)</p>

<p>No question about it, you’re a solid applicant. I would say in terms of chances probably 60 -70% acceptance, 20% waitlist, and 10-20% reject.</p>

<p>How many times have you taken the SAT? You’re looking really good, but a higher test score never hurt anyone.</p>

<p>Knockaround, I took the SAT 3 times. I only sent 2 of my score reports though because I kept improving in every section since the first one.</p>

I think you have a very good chance at getting in. Did you apply ED?</p>

<p>I didn’t apply ED, and I’m getting very nervous because from what I hear, Emory places a lot of emphasis on ED and if you don’t apply ED it is significantly harder to get in</p>

<p>yup. Last year’s ED1 acceptance rate was 62%. ED2 and RD were both 25%.</p>

<p>If I can say anything it is that the Why Emory essay is the most important part of that application. DO NOT write an essay about things you can find on their website or Wikipedia page. Write about what you will get out of an Emory education and why you need to be there. I wouldn’t write an essay where you just talk about the amazing professors/ community and then say because of that I want to go to Emory, if that makes any sense. I can explain more or even read your essay if you would like! (I am currently a first year student at Emory)</p>
