Bard College (Does anyone know if this school superscores? Let me know).
Fordham University
New York University
Boston University

Thanks all  Best of luck to all rising seniors.

Don’t know about SUNYs or CUNY but I’m pretty sure your in there. Bard is probably a high match. Fordham is a match. NYU I think you can get into but it’s a low reach because your ECs are a bit weak. Boston U is a match.

Hi, I think that you’re a match for all of these schools, except NYU. If your recommendations and essays stand out then you’ll probably have a better shot. I don’t know much about the MH program, but I think that you can probably be a good competitor for it. Good luck!

Hi guys, thanks for the help. What could help out my ECs, just out of curiosity because I obviously can’t change anything now… I didn’t put all of my ECs down because honestly I’m too lazy to type out all of my accomplishments but I’ll try to post an abridged version lol.

Abridged Resume:
Women’s Choir

Tri-M Music Honor Society
NHS member
Volunteer at local library for 2 separate programs (mentor-ship stuff)
School musicals (both in and out of school) (actor)
Honors Choir
Perform at charity concert
Multiple dance classes, vocal lessons
All County Musical Festival participant, All State participant
Over the summer I attend musical theatre intensives
Writer for school newspaper

National History Day Finalist
**This summer I am working in a program mentoring autistic children.

I’d say you’ve definitely put yourself within reach at all of these schools, even the very selective ones such as NYU and BU. Based on your abridged resume ^ and your Test scores I think you’ve got a solid chance. I am originally from ny, but I don’t know too much about the CUNY Hunter MH program, so I’m not sure if i could help you out there

Hey!

The SUNYs are definitely safety schools for you and NYU and MHC are high matches.

Macaulay only takes your CR and M scores, so you’d have a 1350 there. For both of those places, your scores would make you a match, but your ECs are a tad weak – maybe some more leadership. Other than that, your stats are great and I wish you the best of luck!!

Just to add – Macaulay Hunter is the hardest Macaulay to get into as they provide some sort of free room and board option. You’d be a match for most other Macaulays. I think Hunter has a Honors program independent of Macaulay with a significant or maybe even full tuition scholarship – check it out!

Thanks, all of that was extremely helpful. BTW I’m aware Macaulay Hunter is the most competitive and I doubt I’ll get in but it’s worth a shot  I think I’ll also apply for the MH program at Queens College.

Great! Queens-Macaulay is definitely easier to get in since they don’t throw the room and board in. All the MHCs place a heavy emphasis on ECs and essays. Good luck!
