i wouldnt be cocky and say my essays were perfect, but in my opinion, i think they are pretty ok. thanks for the input guys, more input!!!!

hmm about the chinese sat II with listening thing... the average score for that is about 780 because it's not that hard to take a SAT II about your native language, so I don't think most colleges think very highly of it.. oh well

but ist a black spot on my application though???

For crying out loud, give him a break... I think you have a really good chance considering you are really well rounded. I mean, you have good test scores as well as a lot of E.Cs... I heard colleges really like that... hey, I'm applying to NYU too! Well, Best of Luck!!! I really hope you get in :)

no it's fine, especially since you got an 800 :)

you got 800 in USH, i wouldn't worry about Chinese SAT II.
If you are chinese and you take it, it can never do any good. How would you think if you were an admissions officer?
I would think:
1. The student has no drive to learn a new language, and just takes this to get 800
2. The student comes from a rich spoiled family that he can waste $35 to put a meaningless 800 on his application just to look good

It's just like people who take Math 1c and 2c, seriously W-T-F? they have nothing to prove.

But don't worry too much, i the rest of your app will compensate for this

I don't understand what the point of this is, and i hate people who try to make an argument with 1 example.
yes there was this one person who had cancer and leukemia, but he ate 3 scorpions and took a biiiiiiiig 5-hi-t and it all went away, what's your point? that eating 3 scorpions and taking a big 5-hi-t is the cure for cancer and leukemia?

*i can't believe they tried to sensor me, where am i? North Korea? NO!

more INPUT PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

im going to sleep though, i'll check 'em tomm!!!

stop bumping... you got pletny responses, now leave it alone... you only bump if you think your question wasnt answered, and yours was
