I am ending my junior year now. I was just wondering what my chances were for the following schools.. assuming I bump up my SAT scores 50-100 points and my ACT score 1-2 points.

Colleges to consider:

UC Santa Barbara
UC San Diego
UC Santa Cruz
San Diego State
U of Southern California
U of Oregon
U of Arizona
U of Washington
U of Florida
U of Colorado
U of Georgia
U of Michigan

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Coming out-of-state for most of your schools will make it more difficult for you to get in to some of them. Your grades are strong so they will help balance out your less-outstanding standardized test scores. For your chances, I'm going to do them so that your current chances are listed followed by your chances if you improve your scores 100 points/2 points.

UC Santa Barbara... SEMI-REACH. GOOD FIT.
UC San Diego... REACH. SEMI-REACH.
UC Santa Cruz... GOOD FIT. LIKELY.
San Diego State... LIKELY. LIKELY.
U of Southern California... HIGH REACH. HIGH REACH.
U of Oregon... LIKELY. SAFETY.
U of Arizona... LIKELY. LIKELY.
U of Washington... GOOD FIT. GOOD FIT.
U of Florida... SEMI-REACH. GOOD FIT.
U of Colorado... GOOD FIT. LIKELY.
U of Georgia... SEMI-REACH. GOOD FIT.
U of Michigan... HIGH REACH. REACH.

Yeah, I hate being out of state especially since most of the schools I want to go to are in California.

Thanks for the reply!

any other help would be greatly appreciated ;)

UF is a reach, even instate. UCSB, UCSD, USC, UW and UM are all substantial reaches.

thanks.. I took the SATs this morning so I'm hoping I got in the 1800s. Ill post my new scores in two weeks :)

also.. am now part of the Social Studies Honors Society.

...anyone there?

wow, i think you're setting low standards for yourself, you would be able to get into most of the schools you listed, i don't know much about the public california schools, but aside from those, uMich seems yo be your biggest reach, even so, you should be able to get in there

thanks for the feedback!

The only college I really know on your list is UF, and I say you have a pretty good chance. UF really likes amazing ECs, so the more focus you can put on your awards/distinctions, the better. It's great that you're on a varsity team. Most of the people that get into UF have high but not through the roof SATs and high GPAs.

Allright thanks for the info!

can anyone else help?

My school (from miami) drove all the way up to orlando to play your HS. Halfway through the game it started pouring and had to be canceled. 8 hours of driving for 4 innings of baseball.

haha aww im sorry.

any other help..
