Hi there, these are my BEST mixed SAT scores

M:590
CR:510
W:550

I would kindly ask that only people who have some sort of connection with Syracuse (like applied there, attending Syracuse, etc.) answer this question.

I have good extra-curricular activities and I also wish to attend the AFROTC program at Syracuse since Syracuse is a host college for it.

Syracuse is a university with many different colleges with different admission criteria. It depends on what major you are interested in. Communication, visual arts, and business are looking for more qualified candidates. Your SAT scores would not rule you out of any school (except communication) and, most important, they probably will consider your GPA and class rank as much more important.
Syracuse is a school which looks a lot at your interest in them. Having an interview and a visit is a key. Good luck.

Please don’t sugarcoat. You need to seriously raise your SAT score up. No matter what school at SU you’re applying to. Schools are funny when it comes to admission and don’t let your guard down when it comes to some programs supposedly being easier than others. They are, after all, self selecting.

Side note: A quality chance thread includes GPA, extra-curriculars SAT etc.

Well, I am currently in a lot of extra-curricular activites like the Civil Air Patrol, Police Expolorers, NHS, Service Club, and hiking club. I did track for 2 years and I am willing to join the AFROTC program at SU and take Aeronautical Engineering there. Do you know how selective the Engineering school is?
