What if She had a 3.6 GPA
a 4.6 WGPA
BUT really close to perfect PSAT, ACT and SAT scores
plus ten 5s, one 4, and one 3 on twelve AP tests?
Plus have the IB diploma
be the first person to go to college from her family
a URM
and a Star sprinter and tennis player?

Do you think theses are good enough credentials for Harvard?

They are very nice credentials, but the question is if Harvard will find a place for her. If her ECs are good, but won’t contribute to Harvard itself, they may be less of a factor. A lot of it boils down not to talent, but what the school needs to fit into the picture of its class full of various talents and personalities.

every kid applying to harvard has basically the same credentials academically and saw raw statistics do somewhat create a benchmark but i think the most important thing is that you show passion through the creative aspects of the application. I’m not a super-genius but I showed devotion to everything that I have done so far and that, I believe, is more of a reason than anything else for my acceptance.
Just remember it is always a reach, and there are no guarantees but I do think that how you come off, with regard to your character/personality, is extremely important!

She’s URM and first gen. She’ll get in. don’t listen to these people. And dvictorio, yes, if she didn’t have the URM and first gen, she probably would be rather standard with a rigorous courseload and good ECs. But no, she will get in.
