Please Chance This Guy!

I've asked like a thousand people, but you know, every word counts.

Here's what I can tell:

Applying for Cornell C.A.L.S. for Spring 2012
Int'l student
Studying in a community college in Illinois

G.P.A.: 3.91 (A's but a B over the two semesters. Which kinda stinks), including an Honors class

E.C.'s:
Founder and President of an Asian students club (won a marketing project on campus, rasied fund for int'l students scholarship)
Head of School Relations in Honors Programs' leadership team
P.T.K. member
Working on campus

Will:
Complete my associate's degree
Get an internship/ work for the college's newpaper

Also applying to: Wisconsin-Madison, U of I, U.N.C.-Chaper Hill, N.Y.U. (maybe?)

I'll start working on my essays and will ask for rec. letters, but I'm not sure what's left.
Any comments?

BUMP. Please help!

In my humblest opinion, I would recommend going back to where you came from. America isn’t for everyone, least of all community college students. I have a friend from back home (UAE) who tried the community college to prestigious university route. Most of the schools he applied to did not accept his community college credit, so he had to start all over again. He essentially wasted 2 years of his life. When he returned home, after being rejected from all of his top choices, his parents were so disappointed with him that they disowned him. He came back to the United States, where he now works for a small business in Connecticut. He makes a decent living, but had he remained in the UAE, I have no doubt he would have been more successful. I hope this helps. PM me if you want any more information.

PM’d. And thanks! This is something I’ve seldom thought about.
Any others?

Edit: I’m a prospective Communication major and I’ve heard that Cornell’s CALS has a higher acceptance rate than other colleges under it, so I’m giving a shot.
