Please chance this high school dropout!

I dropped out of HS in my junior year, with an overall ranking of 4%/100% (beyond dismal). I later went to a CC and studied to the calculus/analytic geometry II level, followed by four honorable years of naval service. The result of a GED test I took at the time placed my ranking at or about 87%/100%.

I later took the SAT after my naval service and scored at or around 1700 (I can't remember the exact score). Math was 550 and CR was 650.

I now want to attend Cal Poly Pomona and major in their Engineering Tech program. Assuming I first complete my lower division Engineering Tech classes at a CC with a GPA of 3.8, what are my chances for acceptance at Cal Poly?

I have dirt. Two DUI's round out my criminal record, and I have a history of homelessness that extends beyond three years.

My SAT isn't all that bad, and we can assume I'll complete my CC classes with a 3.8 GPA in all courses relevant to the Engineering Tech program. In light of this, would Cal Poly disregard my relatively old age and abysmal HS record and admit me by virtue of my SAT scores and recent performance at the CC? Thanks in advance.

A high school diploma has little value after completing your lower division at ccc. In fact, the UC and CSU system do not require junior level transfer students to have a high school diploma or GED for admissions.

With a criminal record, it is possible that you will have trouble securing financial aid.
