Please comment - need good advice

Hey im a senior applying to ivys and other top schools.

Right now I have a sat 2 USH-790 and a math IIC - 650. I am retaking math IIC in december. However, I plan to be a chemistry major, and am currently taking AP chemistry.

Some schools say Dec will be the last acceptable testing, and then say January might be too late for consideration and would put the applicant at a disadvantage. However, some schools say January is okay, and there will be no disadvantage.

The only school i am applying to that needs 3 sat II's is princeton. I already have an act (33) with writing (10). Is it that important to take chem sat II because i plan to be a chem major?

Also, lets say I took math IIc in dec, got a good score, sent my scores in (costing $ of course) and then took chem in January. I would have to resend all my scores meaning a lot of pesos. Point again being, is taking chem worth it?

Thanks for the responses, sorry for the crappy writing.

take chem in december. i doubt you will do well on math II since you already got a 650 on it which is basically the 50th percentile(not exactly what princeton expects)

A friend of mine took the math 2 three times and her scores were:
630, 670, and 800. So, you can definitely improve; don't listen to ChoklitRain.

i'm not saying it's impossible to improve. i'm just saying that he only has one more chance to test and perhaps should focus on a subject that he is stronger in. math2 would be more of a gamble.

I am pretty strong in math, Im in BC calc, the reason i got a 650 is because i came in late to the testing due to long bathroom lines and an inept proctor.

Just go through Barron's Math Level 2, and you're all set for a 750+.
