Please Dear God Chance Me For Stern

How heavily do senior year classes account for anything? I’m planning on taking 5-6 AP’s senior year, giving me a total of 9-10 by the time I graduate.

that should be enough. I took 5 AP classes this year and 6 last year and still got into stern

Ah alright that’s good. Anyone else care to provide input?

You’re in, and I would strongly advise against ED at Stern, whose financial aid is terrible, when you have the stats to get into places like Wharton, Cornell, Chicago, etc. who all have better financial aid.
My UW GPA: 3.88, SAT 710 CR, 750 M, 760 W. I got in.
You’re in.

Bump !

A big thing that has worried me is my grades. They seem like they’d be too low for Stern, and I only have an UW gpa on a A=90-100, B=80-89 scale.

My school doesn’t have literal honors, but we have a thing called pre advanced placement and gt placement. Both are given more wait than normal classes but right below AP and IB classes. So, I’m thinking that colleges will consider them honors classes. As of now here are my grades.

8th Grade (two high school level classes taken, they factor into my GPA and are on my transcript)

Spanish 95/97
Algebra 1 97/97

9th grade
English GT 90/91
Spanish Pre AP 94/94
Geometry GT 88/90
Biology GT 90/92
AP Human Geography 89/88

10th Grade (Different school in same district, no AP’s offered this year):
English Pre AP 91/92
World History Pre AP 91/92
Chemistry Pre AP 87/92
Algebra 2 Pre AP 90/92
Spanish Pre AP 84/92

11 Grade (First semester gone by)
AP English 95
AP Physics 94
AP US History 95
Pre AP Precal 94
Community College Psychology 99
Spanish Pre AP 94

I’ve gotten my game together a bit better junior year, and I’m expecting the same grades if not better for the second semester. In context my class rank and SAT scores are a bit more passable (top 8% and 2250 overall/ 1560 composite), but these grades seem terrible to me for good schools. I’m sincerely worried guys, so does anyone have any final advice about whether I am still competent for Stern.

You’re in. NYU is one of the most overrated schools, atleast in N.Y. it is.
