Please Explain CHM 201/7 & PHY 103/5 Hours

<p>I am trying to make a freshman schedule, but I am a little confused. </p>

<p>The P course offerings shows that CHM 201/7 has
- Lectures for 3 hrs per week
- Class 1 hr per week
- Lab 3 hours per week</p>

<p>and for PHY 103/5</p>

<ul>
<li>Lecture 1 hr/week</li>
<li>class 3 hours/week</li>
<li>Lab 3 hours/week</li>
</ul>

<p>Are these really seven hour/week courses? Are these options or must I register for a lecture, a class and a lab for each course?</p>

<p>Labs usually won't take the full three hours, but you must register for each component (lecture, class, lab) of the course.</p>
