I am in my junior year and have great grades. I prepared to take the fall sat throughout the summer and took over 5 practice tests ( I scored over 1580 on every practice test). Therefore, I was expecting to score very well on the SAT, however, I only earned a 1510. I think this may have been due to nerves. Should I take the SAT again? and if I do, how can I ensure that I achieve results that are closer to my actual level? Thanks, everyone who gives some advice.
I think 1510 is a very respectable score. What are the breakdowns? Do you have a relatively weaker section? Do you have enough time when doing the real test? Since you are still a junior, you could consider taking another one in the March 2019. Find harder prep books to work on if you find you don’t have enough time during the test. Good luck.
yes, definitely take it again, I think you have good potential to increase your score, taking it once is not usually an indication of your best possible score
