Please help a clueless high school senior! What are my chances of getting into these colleges????

Hello!

I'm an upcoming high school senior and....I have no idea where I stand in terms of colleges :(( :(( .
I don't know which schools are safety school, chance schools, reach schools, etc.
So...PLEASE HELP ME PLEASEEEEEE

I took the SAT once and got a 1980:
Math 680
Reading 670
Writing 630

I'm planning on taking it again and hoping for a 2000+
I'm also planning on taking the ACT soon.

I took 3 APs so far and I'm going to take 5 next year.
Also next year, I'm taking Multi-Variable (Dual Enrollment), the highest math course available at my school.
These are my AP scores:
AP World History -- 4
AP US History -- 5
AP BC Calculus -- 5
AB Subscore -- 5

At the end of my junior year, my year gpa was 4.39 (weighted). I don't know my unweighted gpa.
My cumulative gpa is 4.31 (weighted) or 3.91 (unweighted).
For unweighted I used an online gpa calculator soooooo not 100% sure.

I participate in many extra-curricular activities at school.
About 5~6 clubs. And I'm a treasurer for one club and a VP for another.
I don't have a job because my mom won't let me plus I want to concentrate on school.
I'm an Asian-American. Our household income is pretty low. And I live in the DC/MD/VA area.

These are the colleges I'm looking at:

University of Virginia
University of Toronto
Princeton University
Georgetown University
Virginia Tech
Stanford University
UCLA
Duke University
University of Chicago

THANK YOU SO MUCH
I KNOW THIS IS LONG BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Virginia definitely

You have a very loftly list of schools. If you go onto their web pages you’ll see generally where you fall in terms of your test scores, which is a start. You’ll need to improve your scores quite a bit to be in the middle 50% for Princeton, Stanford, Duke and the U of Chicago; I don’t know about the others. These schools, and the University of Virginia (I am not familiar with the others on your list) reject a high percentage of applicants. I would encourage you to add to this list schools that admit a higher percentage of students, like Carnegie-Mellon, Villanova, Emory, Northeastern. You are clearly taking challenging classes, but a number of these schools are reaches for most of the highly qualified students that apply there, so diversifying your list is important. All of these are larger schools so I’m assuming you want a large, urban campus?

Oh and I’m planning on majoring in the science area like engineering, pharmacology, and/or pre-med (to become a dermatologist.) and i go to a hs ---- suburban area very competitive

I’d say shoot for a 700+ on the SAT subject areas. Have something to make you stand out from the rest

Princeton, Stanford, UChicago, Duke are all reaches solely based on their low acceptance rates.
You should look up the class profiles for the schools you are interested in. Type into google “school name class profile” --make sure it is the undergraduate class profile-- to see where you stack up.

Too many reaches on the list.

I would have to agree. with @billcsho the standardized test scores are low. Consider George Washington or George Mason if you want to stay local. Consider some big state schools since your GPA isn’t bad.

Your SAT score is too low for all the schools on your list. Good luck on the ACT.

Use the supermatch feature (click on the college search tab).

Actually, supermatch is not very good since you are compared to many students. See if your school has Naviance or something similar. It makes it more relevant to your school.

Try McGill if you like Canadian colleges. They absolutely love kids from the DMV area
