Please Help a Sleep Deprived and Stressed Junior

I have a 32 act and a 2170 sat, I plan on retaking both. My ECs=founder and president of a Greenpeace chapter at my school, secretary of global citizen, varsity football cheerleading, key club board member, Model UN, debate, student council, best buddies, and Ted Talks at my school. My UW gpa will be a 3.77 and weighted will be a 4.7. I will have taken 11 aps by graduation. I have gotten 5 B grades (2 freshmen year, 3 sophomore year). I’m a female asian and I go to a very very good public high school with most of the kids going to top 30 colleges. My teacher recs are very good and my counselor one is pretty good (i think).
Colleges I plan to apply to:
Georgetown (1st choice)
Boston College
Boston Uni
Emory
W&M
USC
UCLA
Northeastern
GW
NYU

Edit: Why on earth are you stressed out now as a junior? The apps aren’t in… you can re do everything.

Major?

Your major will make quite a bit of a difference here. Based on your preferred colleges, you seem to want something in the Social Sciences (Economics, Political Sciences, etc). You’ve founded several key clubs and Ted Talks indicate you’re a good public speaker and not afraid to voice your opinion. You EC’s focus on leadership and not STEM, so I’m assuming you do want to major in SS and not math or science. Your test scores may need to be improved, I do know a current Georgetown freshman whose scores and GPA were similar to yours, but he was also one of two students selected from my state to intern at the White House and he held a 15hr/wk job during his junior year and he took 8 AP exams that year, scoring 4/5 on all. I think you have a good shot in EC’s, improving your GPA/SAT/ACT, taking some more AP’s (I myself plan to graduate with 17 AP courses), and making sure you get absolutely stellar recommendations will help you get into your colleges of choice. I speculate they put more weight on the rec letters than STEM based colleges such as MIT or CalTech.

Overall, you’re almost there, just fill in those holes, do well in the interview, and you have a good shot at Georgetown!

High school is only stressful if you make it stressful.
