PLEASE HELP ME!!! WILL CHANCE BACK

I have a 32 act and a 2170 sat, I plan on retaking both. My ECs=founder and president of a Greenpeace chapter at my school, secretary of global citizen, varsity football cheerleading, key club board member, Model UN, debate, student council, best buddies, and Ted Talks at my school. My UW gpa will be a 3.77 and weighted will be a 4.7. I will have taken 11 aps by graduation. I have gotten 5 B grades (2 freshmen year, 3 sophomore year). I’m a female asian and I go to a very very good public high school with most of the kids going to top 30 colleges. My teacher recs are very good and my counselor one is pretty good (i think).
Colleges I plan to apply to:
Georgetown (1st choice)
Boston College
Boston Uni
Emory
W&M
USC
UCLA
Northeastern
GW
NYU
Barnard
Elon
Fordham
Lehigh

Will chance back!!

You should be in at all the Mass schools. GW should be fine. UCLA, USC, NYU, and Georgetown you are no sure bet but you have extremely good ECs, if you could maybe get your SAT to a 2250 or ACT to 34 I think you would have a far-better-than-not chance (currently it seems about 50-50 or even a bit higher). I don’t know much about the LACs… I think I actually responded to another post of yours that wasn’t as comprehensive. I have to say, seeing your ECs makes me feel quite inferior as a junior, but hey, that’s a good thing from your perspective.

Thank you so much!!! I have a low gpa and sat/act scores which will probably be my downfall

Don’t be so sure… you’re retaking both, so you could definitely improve, and your GPA is not low at all (imo) for someone taking 11 APs…specifically at a top ranked school, and especially if you did well on the AP exams… if you got 5s on maybe 6 or more APs I believe it could completely erase your “low” GPA (which like I said doesn’t seem low at all). Obviously do your best but don’t sweat it. You will definitely get into most of the schools you listed, and I’d say with even a slight improvement half of the bigger ones (UCLA you should be good, NYU, USC, Gtown are again a bit tougher but I wouldn’t worry about it).

Overall, you scores are a little low (as you pointed out), but while your weighted GPA doesn’t matter, your rigorous courseload will. In terms of the SAT score, your score could easily improve by 100 points if you retake it, especially if the score above was your first time. Subject test scores might make it easier to chance, but in any case your scores combined with EC’s bring all schools listed within reach (the EC’s are top notch, and the competitive school will help since you took full advantage of it whereas it would hurt if you did not).

This assumes a retake with 50 point increase in SAT score
